closely knit community that has strict standards and monitors each
article. Hence article quality is never compromised thus resulting in

Bala, WDD, I didn't understand how. Do you mean to say that Indic
languages cater primarily to India related articles also, while
English caters to non Indian content too?
The figures might be misleading but they support my earlier theory
that wrt English, Indian students still prefer textbooks

As a very small part-time faculty in Pune University for M Sc Defence
Studies students, I can tell you that virtually any and every assgnment has
nothing worthwhile to find in the course textbooks but lots in Wikipedia.

Yuvi, I agree with you. Back in 2005, when I joined Wikipedia, I
remember a teacher failing a classmate for submitting a physics
project with Citation Needed written all over it. I was smart enough
to rewrite it. I meant, use of Wikipedia for reference in everyday
study. Like for example, I
