Hi all, I use Ubuntu and thus I work on GIMP. So I dont know how to create .SVG files. How about if I send you after converting them into .PSD files and then you can convert them into .SVG. Or you can tell me how to make .SVG files and I will send all the files again after converting them. PNG version is not editable in Inkscape. If main creator create with Inkscape and share the same file , then it fine for editing. so does that mean that files created in GIMP cant be printed in big sizes ? Unlike svg files, other format images do not scale well. Some svg files can scale infinitely. Inkscape is available on Ubuntu as well. I took the liberty to add Shymal L to the loop. He's our resident expert for svg and inkscape issues. We're encountering this problem with some of the really beautiful stuff people have uploaded on the Wikipedia 10 gallery on Commons - lots of great stuff, but it's all PNG, which means we can't print them off as big banners :( So if anyone has the ability, would be great if you could also upload SVG versions alongside PNGs.
