The 5.2 certs do you no good. 5.25 - 5.35 GHz requires DFS as well for
new deployments since the change was released. You can only replace
existing pre-DFS gear with other pre-DFS gear.

Hi Akin,
What are the link distances and throughput you require?

I second Justin's advice. If you must use Shielded Ethernet, you will need
to ground it to the tower every 20-30 feet. That means pealing back the
plastic sheath and wrapping a small cable ground kit around the shielding,
water proofing and then attaching the ground strap to the tower. Make
Nice to see products like this developing and being made available, but it
still misses the mark by not including SFP ports. Also, the GigE port count
is far too few. Six? Need more like 24 or 48 ports! grin
USB ports are great to see on this router! Good job there and what IMO
should be
Looks like we'll be purchasing one of these next week. We'll let you
know how it holds up.

Yes, All pre-existing 5.3 links installed prior to the new DFS rule addition,
are grand fathered. You are allowed to repair those grandfathered links and
still not have to use DFS. Manufacturers are now only allowed to provide
non-DFS 5.3 gear for repair purposes. (such as RMA repalcements).
Actually, I think the 1106 is an excellent needed product. (There is a more
expensive 10port Dual 2.9Ghz product for those needing more ports.)
The reason is that there are many applications where 6 ports is plenty, more
for customer side router. Where just a lot of processing power is needed

There are a bunch of billing systems targeted at web hosts. Belsta:
http://www.blesta.com/ is also out there for a similar price point.
Last time I looked at them you'd need to do a bunch of coding work to
get it to automatically turn your network users on and off.

If you want DFS2 legal the only thing I am aware of is moto
Anything (old) DFS that is not already in the air is not legal to hang.
There is a slough full of stuff that is pending DFS2 certification including
ubiquity.
When will Ubiquiti be approved? Roughly?
open to speculation. Some think 12 weeks (I'm not one of them)
