Hi,
A few years ago, a guy posted a document about how he "decompiled" the
firmware on a Trango 5830AP radio. Does anyone remember seeing this? I
can't find it again, and I'd like to take a look at it.
thanks,

Mac, I understand you completely. My daugher is NOLA , or on her way out
with friends... Or they darn well better be.
If I had the $$ I'd be getting ready to leave now so as to get there in
time. Me, my associate, and the bucket truck and travel trailer..
Unfortunately, I haven't the means
I did 6 miles near line of sight last week with the SU hanging out the
window in my truck on an omni setup. I've heard that with a sector setup
at the basestation and a connectorized SU you can go into the teens with

I've heard good things about the Dell switches... I've got a Dell 48
port Gig-E layer 3 switch on the bench which I hope to have gotten into
our core network in the next few days. So far, all the tests I have
thrown at it seem to indicate that it will be just fine.

Stay safe you guys! Very well said Mac. You took the words right out of my
mouth. I am planning on staying downtown in the data center but watching
things very closely. I will make my decision tomorrow. This time Homeland

I could not have said it any better. It has been a long 3 years for me and my

Well - - - here we (Louisiana) are again in the eye of a hurricane with the
difference being that this is already a category 5 and Katrina came ashore
as a category 3.
My first thoughts are of those who have already suffered devastating
losses from Katrina, Rita and Wilma. To understand what
John runs the Redmax AN-100U which is limited to 23dbm transmit power.
However, the AN-100UX is limited to 36dbm. With a sector antenna at the

miles NLOS with 64QAM/16QAM which would give you about 11mb/s down and
4mb/s up @ 60
Anyone would recommend a good 24 Gige port, Cisco Switch? Possibly
something I can grab for less than $1k on ebay ?

Would you mind sharing with us your experiences with this product? Do you
have hilly or tree covered areas where you serve? Does the propagation you
see in 3.65 GHz with Redmax reflect similar experiences you have had with
other bands like 5.8 GHz, 2.4 GHz or 900 MHz? Any feedback is much
