Not sure of the reason for this Post here. Isn't the wireless@wispa.org a free
non-vendor specific list? Is this a post to pull users from WISPA?

To be entirely neutral. We can't bash WISPA if we wanted to, for example.
We can't bash a company that is affiliated with WISPA. Probably not the
best example, but this way we are entirely free to do what we want.

Um people bash WISPA on this list occasionally. It's usually not
warranted. There are a few trolls that like to make trouble. Why do you
feel that we can't bash WISPA on this list? If there are legitimate
concerns with the organization, and one
From what I can tell, it's AFMUG with the ability to talk about reflectors
and anything negative (problems, not mindless bashing) about stingers.
WISPA has their rules. I understand and agree with them. But this list
isn't going to lose any money or confidence if someone throws business cards
I don't see the list as a replacement but 1 more good tool in the tool box
think its more to replace AFMUG we are all getting sick of chuck getting

That is my concern as well. I actually just looked at the public WISPA list
for the first time today in a week. I prefer to post to the specific WISPA
Manufacture or Membership lists and avoid the non-member list as much as
possible. I do get some good info there from time to time. But this
LOL, funny how my history teacher was right about his saying, history repeats
itself.
I remember being on the isp-wireless list and getting emailed about one
sentence responses and emailed everyone I was done. So Mike started up the
Part-15 lists.
Then it went from there to WISPA.

So I follow like 13 lists/forums now (all the freakin wireless ones + nanog +
c-nsp + j-nsp). I'm going make a helpdesk dude summarize the signal and ditch
the noise, and do a one-page weekly writeup. Then I'm going to monetize the
writeup.

H. The legalities of monetizing that write up are sketchy. :) A good
idea though. I've considered subscribing to a bunch more lists and
having some automated systems pick out anything interesting.
I follow WISPA/NANOG. A few local lists (amazing

We have tried to learn from others mistakes in the past and adjust our

Of course. This is the sign of a mature and well run community.
I think Alex Goldman is already doing that and posting on the WISPA page.
