[WISPA] new list

2011-01-24 Thread Travis Johnson
Hi, In an effort to create a neutral discussion forum, a new mailing list has been created called Wireless Users Group. This list is 100% free, and is not tied to any product or service being sold. It is hosted on a free server, with free bandwidth and free administration. No fees or vendor

Not sure of the reason for this Post here. Isn't the wireless@wispa.org a free non-vendor specific list? Is this a post to pull users from WISPA? Steve Barnes -Original Message- From: wireless-boun...@wispa.org [mailto:wireless-boun...@wispa.org] On Behalf Of Travis Johnson Sent:

To be entirely neutral. We can't bash WISPA if we wanted to, for example. We can't bash a company that is affiliated with WISPA. Probably not the best example, but this way we are entirely free to do what we want. Josh Luthman Office: 937-552-2340 Direct: 937-552-2343 1100 Wayne St Suite 1337

From what I can tell, it's AFMUG with the ability to talk about reflectors and anything negative (problems, not mindless bashing) about stingers. WISPA has their rules. I understand and agree with them. But this list isn't going to lose any money or confidence if someone throws business cards

So I follow like 13 lists/forums now (all the freakin wireless ones + nanog + c-nsp + j-nsp). I'm going make a helpdesk dude summarize the signal and ditch the noise, and do a one-page weekly writeup. Then I'm going to monetize the writeup. -Original Message- From:
