Re: [WISPA] Prevailing Wage

2013-03-25 Thread Mike Hammett
Illinois goes below the county level on these sorts of things. X townships and
Y municipalities could be a different wage, if that job is even broken out
there.

Nathan, We paid prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon scale, if I recall
correctly on two projects last year. Both projects funded by USDA
grants. We paid electricians scale for all our folks, and passed an
audit on one of the projects. Indiana has a different pay scale for each
county the work is performed in.

Keep your documentation. Properly filled out signed weekly time
statements, and pay stubs made it very easy to pass.

We paid around $40-$45 that included fringe benefits.

Re: [WISPA] Prevailing Wage

Not all work is required to be prevailing wage, but the state sure will try to
peg you into a category. I had a couple interesting calls with the DoL.

Don't forget that there's at least 50% more in other types of benefits that you
have to offer.

Hello,

We are working on several wireless and security camera proposals for
municipalities in our area, Illinois. The question has been raised about
Prevailing Wage and if we have to pay it. When looking into it, it looks like
we do. All $44/hour to any one that works on the project.

I do not want to get people all up in arms about the Prevailing Wage
act. That is a discussion we can have at a WISPA show after hours. :)

Has anyone had to deal with this? Did you get a for sure answers yes
or no? Where you audited and survived?

Thanks

What are the differences between Nanabridge US and Worldwide versions?
Are the Worldwide versions usable in the US?

Re: [WISPA] Hotspot/Billing/AAA options?

2013-03-25 Thread Julius Igugu
Hello,

Radius Manager with Mikrotik Hospot should handle multiple portals.

Julius Igugu.

Sent from Samsung tabletralph wrote:We have multiple
hotspots, each with a customized portal.

Anyone using DMA Softlabs RADIUS Manager for their hotspots?

How about the Gatespot system that Butch sells?

(I spoke on the phone to a couple of Gatespot users already but I don’t think
they used customized portals)

I don’t think Mikrotik User Manager even does multiple portals, but please let
me know if you are using it for that.

What do you think of them?

Know of any others?

Ralph
