I've had to lie to newly installed LWAPPs when we use our 'non-Cisco'
power injectors, but once they are told there is an injector
connected, they fire up the radios and don't seen to have any further
issues. I have not seen it at all on our PoE switches, but we only
have PoE running from
Lee, I have seen Poe power problems when installing 1250's on 3750E
switches. If you use the command power inline port maximum 2 on
the port then the port will get the maximum power and none of the radios
will shut down My two cents. -Jeff Legge Radford University.

Lee,
What version of controller code are you running? I'm sure you know this
but just make sure the Cisco PoE is providing standard 802.3af,
otherwise you have to check the PreStandard box. It's interesting
because we had a similar issues a while ago, but with injectors, as
opposed to the
Also, make sure you have CDP enabled both on the AP and the switch if
you want to rely on Cisco's power discovery to work correctly. If
you're using non-Cisco PoE midspans or switches, chances are you have
to lie to them.
