is not intranet, but internet, and as such is far more limited by your ISP

Very interesting.
How many AP's are we talking about? How many SSID's?

Funny you should ask, as we are looking into doing the same thing here. I'd
love to see someone have it in place to know what the pitfalls might be.

I think that is there is a need for it, it will be in highly specific locations
and uses. It is definitely not an issue for the general population.
I applaud Cisco for working on a way to up the bandwidth over existing cabling,
as that is obviously an ideal solution for most of us.
, but that will be changed to a large single
block spanning multiple campuses, per Aruba’s suggestion. We have separate
spaces for the .1X Secure SSID, and the Guest wireless. Lease times are 4
hours for Secure, and 2 hours for Guests.

that make the complication and
possibility of experiencing an issue worthwhile, however, and would be
unwilling to give them up for their older, simpler versions.

I do not believe this is materially different than Apple's implementation of
randomized MAC addresses. They randomize them while probing wifi networks, so
that the device is not unwittingly being tracked or monitored. When the device
deliberately connects to an SSID, however, the MAC address

Hello,
Is anyone out there well versed with Clearpass? In particular, using it for
their wireless Guest Portal? If you have a few minutes for a question or two,
or could share the relevant configuration you have for it, I'd very much
appreciate it.
Thank you in advance,
Patrick
