The Routerboard 1000 does look like a hot new product. I'd like to learn more about it. In the past we shyed away from Dell, we preferred Super Micro much more for ease to repair, reliabilty, and open standards. However, we are now using Dell for ease of procurement, in a one source ready to

Interesting. Is the cable between the IDU and ODU just standard cat5 outdoor, or is there something special about their CBL/BB wire? Is the indoor unit just a poe adapter, or is there more intelligence in it? Randy Mike Cowan wrote: Here is a link for the spec sheet on the product:

Someone posted some questions about a year ago about IPv6 and most of us looked at it and said yeah, some day.. but for a lot of us IPv6 is our next step. Has anyone sat down and done anything thinking about how they're going to meet guidelines for deployment? More specifically how are we

It is standard CAT5 outdoor rated. Quality stuff but guiys use their own all the time. The indoor unit is POE and smart enough to have signal strength, ethernet link, and wirleless link lights. Mike At 03:35 PM 3/3/2008, you wrote: Interesting. Is the cable between the IDU and ODU just

For those using Shireen cable, do you guys not have problems with the poor quality of their reel/box container? We have had almost every box come apart on us before we get 200' of cable pulled off the reel. The wire is too loosely wrapped which causes the wire to sink down into the lower wraps.

Belden makes good cable too. About $225 for 1000 feet. Yes the Shireen spool boxes are horrible! We are not going to order anymore until they fix this. Cameron Midcoast Internet -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Chad Halsted Sent:

I'll check into Belden, thanks. Yeah, I think I'm done with Shireen until they figure out a better design. I'd rather have a simple spool than fight with that crap for one more minute. On Mon, Mar 3, 2008 at 4:16 PM, Cameron Kilton [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Belden makes good cable too.

It's being done a lot in the South East Asia. We are just getting our first requests for people actually needing to use IPv6 on our routers. I'm sure a lot of the bugs will be worked out by the time most in the US get started with it. Jeff ImageStream -Original Message- From: [EMAIL
