I would say they're all the same. 750 is cheaper.

Legacy loops (DS3/OC3) are some of the most expensive local loop
transport circuits.
There is no single way to find an alternate / less expensive local loop
transport.
The amount of options greatly varies on exactly where you are. It could

Sounds simply like a grounding issue to me.

I agree. Lots of options. I suggest getting a list of who is in the meet me
room at your closest carrier hotel. That's how I found a couple of fiber
providers I didnt know about (socal Edison and Burbank dwp ). Some hotels have
wireless meet me rooms for backhaul.
Any way to backhaul from a
For those of you who are purchasing circuits from ATT, you should
consider joining FISPA, and getting ATT discounted pricing thru the
FISPA contracts.
Most of ATT products priced thru FISPA are at some of the steepest
discounts (especially in the old BellSouth Territories).

Ground the roof. I have a hay barn where there are some AC mains just
14ft away and it induces about 80VAC to the roof. We first thought
there was a ac break someplace, but we shut down ALL the power to the
property. Unless the bread is in the weather head to the meter

Yeah, the problem is this is a residential setting, I can't do a ring ground
with all the necessary rods. But it does have a good ground rod at the service
entrance where everything is grounded. I just took the equipement off the roof
and put it up on a metal pole standing on the ground. I
That's great info! Thanks!
I was going to ground the roof but I was afraid I'd be inducing transients into
the ground system (using that term loosely - it's one ground rod) and maybe
damage more than I already was. For safety the roof probably should be
grounded, but as far as the gear goes
I don't know if anyone is looking for real steel but here is probably a
real steal if you want to take it down.

If you are interested and need someone to take it down. get me off

Look at 186, too. It is a tower almost identical to 170.

I think Bob already mentioned that - where he said look at 170 and 186.
They don't look like free standing towers though!

They free stand for about 6 seconds if you cut all the guys at the same

As promised I have created an updated Google Earth map file (20 meg) with
the latest TV contours out of the FCC database (8-2010). This mapping tool
does not take in to account Cable TV head ends and the back links for TV

Just tell them you are not at liberty to say due to the NDA you signed with
your provider. Keep them in the dark. I was made Hip to that by an ISP

Cheap until you shell out the jack to take it down properly. FREE would be
a better deal.
Been there, not cheap if done right.,

least 50 or more.

I've seen people (and climbed them) that had about 70 feet of tower
free-standing with about 12 feet buried in a lot of cement

I am not really sure how you can make such a claim when
the picture does not show the face, etc of the tower.
I cannot imagine something like M54 tower freestanding
to 70 feet with 12 feet buried in concrete.
Just saying...

It may be large, but the structural forces are very much different on
a tower that was designed to hold that much down pressure while
guyed and that much spread out over a self support spread base.
You could go higher than 20, but stability, dependability, etc would
suffer REAL quickly.
