machines. Microsoft distributes a WindowsXP VM for web developers to test
ie6 rendering in which you could install safari 3.2 in too, and then put IE8

Dunno about your IE problems, but it doesn't work in firefox at all.

Firefox has plugins that give nice reports, (HTML Validator plugin may have
had the Accessibility options, i can't remember, it's been a while since i
used it)
