Hi all,
If your first language is Spanish or German, I want to call your
attention to translations of documentation for WSJT-X 2.0 prepared by
EA4BAS and and OE1EQW, now posted on the WSJT web site here:

Thanks to Miguel and Enrico!

All,
Just worked Dr. Taylor using v 2.0-rc1.
The initial QSO was fine. I was using
77 bit protocol on 14.078mhz. Minutes
later Joe changed his call sign to
K1JT/2. That QSO went as published
and logged as well.
Now for the nit:
After the "/2" QSO was logged, the
v 2.0-4c1 continued to show his
Hi,
I found that messages with CQ are not always green colored if the last 7
criteria are put to the white color.
This happens with V2.0.0-rc1, and a color scheme as follows :
CQ in message -> green
My call in message -> red
Transmitted message -> yellow
New DXCC -> Cyan

For those on Fedora who want to test the pre-release version of WSJT-X I
have completed RC1 builds in my COPR[1].
I will not be updating the mainline Fedora package until the final release.
Thanks,

Hi all,
Many of us have made many QSOs using the new 77-bit messages on 7.078
and 14.078 MHz. Overall the results have been good -- but not
surprisingly, bugs are being identified. Several are important enough
to warrant a second candidate release well before the originally
suggested
Hi:
Just wonder since 14078 is used instead of 14074, same with the 40m, which
is the proposed freq for 6m FT8?
Thanks and 73'

In FT8 mode, selecting any one of the 4 special operating activities causes
a suitable color-highlighted message to appear on the WSJT-X main window.
However, in MSK144 mode, a color-highlighted message appears only for the NA
VHF Contest and EU VHF Contest activities.
I saw the same here from my QTH yesterday on 14078 kHz. A couple of very
strong stations which could not be decoded. Neiher with v2.0.0-rc1 legacy
enabled, nor with v2.0.0-rc1 legacy disabled, nor with v1.9.1. No idea what
was the reason. It did not seem to be a time sync issue.
73 de DG2YCB,
Don,
I have played with FT8Call a bit over the past two weeks or so and the signals
look like FT8 on the waterfall. They can extend over several consecutive 15
second cycles depending upon the length of the message, but they can also be
just one 15 second cycle for a short call or message, so
I think It's an issue having FT8Call on the same frequency as 2.0 beta testing.
I was confused yesterday when I saw several strong signals on 7.078 not decode.
I "guessed" they could be FT8Call signals and I have yet to try FT8Call so I
didn't have a means to see. I didn't know whether or not
Maijan,
It is possible that the strong signals that you could not decode were FT8Call
signals. The developer of this "experimental" application recommends 14.078 as
a default dial frequency just like WSJT-X 2.0 -rc1 with the 77 bit option. Both
applications also recommend using 7.078 on 40
I am sorry about previous callsigns message with in-line JPG attachments.
Dozen QSO made with 77 bits at 14078 kHz! Several strong signals NOT decoded
although legacy bits were enabled.
I just experienced several WSJT-X crashes while dealing with DU6/PE1NSQ.
Both 77 bit options unchecked at
Hello Uwe,
if you set any of the colors to 'white', it is kind of 'disabled'.

Yesterday I installed WSJT-X 2.0.0-rc1 and worked a station in 77-bit
format. Everything worked well. Good work! Thanks a lot!
However, please allow me one request: Please make the new color scheme more
adjustable. As I am also using JTAlert, some information is now redundant.
Have still not

Hi,
I have just installed ver 2.0 and will give it a good going over :-).
The first thing I have noticed is that there is a display problem in the
Band Activity and RX Frequency boxes, the black text is a bit subdued
and difficult to read on the various colours whereas in ver 1.9.1 it was
