[wsjt-devel] V 2.0-RC1 NIT

All, Just worked Dr. Taylor using v 2.0-rc1. The initial QSO was fine. I was using 77 bit protocol on 14.078mhz. Minutes later Joe changed his call sign to K1JT/2. That QSO went as published and logged as well. Now for the nit: After the "/2" QSO was logged, the v 2.0-4c1 continued to show his

Hi all, Many of us have made many QSOs using the new 77-bit messages on 7.078 and 14.078 MHz. Overall the results have been good -- but not surprisingly, bugs are being identified. Several are important enough to warrant a second candidate release well before the originally suggested

I saw the same here from my QTH yesterday on 14078 kHz. A couple of very strong stations which could not be decoded. Neiher with v2.0.0-rc1 legacy enabled, nor with v2.0.0-rc1 legacy disabled, nor with v1.9.1. No idea what was the reason. It did not seem to be a time sync issue. 73 de DG2YCB,

Don, I have played with FT8Call a bit over the past two weeks or so and the signals look like FT8 on the waterfall. They can extend over several consecutive 15 second cycles depending upon the length of the message, but they can also be just one 15 second cycle for a short call or message, so

I think It's an issue having FT8Call on the same frequency as 2.0 beta testing. I was confused yesterday when I saw several strong signals on 7.078 not decode. I "guessed" they could be FT8Call signals and I have yet to try FT8Call so I didn't have a means to see. I didn't know whether or not

Maijan, It is possible that the strong signals that you could not decode were FT8Call signals. The developer of this "experimental" application recommends 14.078 as a default dial frequency just like WSJT-X 2.0 -rc1 with the 77 bit option. Both applications also recommend using 7.078 on 40
