I expect I will take the 50 MHz rover station out tomorrow morning and try some
50 MHz MSK144 with rc-3 using the call VE7AFZ/R and with NA contest mode turned
on.

you're seeing may have already been fixed. Don't download any 'builds'
updates are fast and furious. Use th

Purely guessing here, but, maybe it is something specific to the
SignaLink in how it allows or not, the rate to be set or maybe something
specific to groups is affecting it's ability to be set.
What groups is your current user in?

This was caught in my junk filter, not sure why, but, here's what I do
for audio on a new distro install.
Note, for what it's worth, I *am not* seeing the issues your stating
below and I have corrected the wsjtrc v.s. wsjtxrc path typo.
I use outboard audio for Hamradio, TI Bur-Brown v

Yes, both the install and build directories had an incorrect paths for
WSJTX 1.4 RC builds, wsjtrc v.s wsjtxrc.
I've updated configure.ac and will post it shortly.
