Hi Marty, some of the older Yaesu rigs do not accept CAT QSY commands while transmitting and the SignaLink USB does not help out with that as it does it's own thing with the PTT. If you have the WSJT-X "Settings->General->Allow Tx frequency changes while transmitting" box checked, try

Fake it "should" work on all rigs.  There can be some timing issues and RS-232 is not an error free protocol either.But errors like that are usually due to the baud rate being too fast and/or noise on the RS-232 cable. What baud rate are you using?  Rig split is the preferred setting and should

I guess returning to the correct freq is the issue. I just got another response with the same suggestion. This person says he has an FT-1000MP and sees the same problem when “wing it” is selected. There must be something different about the MP that other radios don’t exhibit. Thanks for the
