[wsjt-devel] macOS Transmit Audio Problem

2020-11-03 Thread David Kaplan via wsjt-devel
I posted this on the main WSJT group with no response. I'm running macOS Catalina 10.15.7, and recently intentionally erased my iMac and added all the programs back manually (rather than a restore) to delete 6 years of crud (a technical term). Now I have WSJT-X 2.3.0 rc1 installed and am having

Hey David, Have you tried taking audio directly from your Mac’s headphone jack? I run a Mac mini using just the headphone and mic jacks which are built in. I’ve also used a small USB/audio dongle successfully. Try changing your prefs and see if you hear audio on the headphones when you ask ws

[wsjt-devel] RC1 Tune problem

2020-11-03 Thread Al
You may already have  this one.. 1) With TX odd/1st selected and observe the TX audio out of WSJT... 2) at 3 seconds into the odd period, toggle TUNE on then off. 3) TX audio starts when TUNE is toggled on and then off briefly and then back on until the end of the period. AL, K0VM ___

Hello John It also happens with other programs, wrong decodes. Sometimes I'm just listening and decoding calls to my call with strange callsign and impossible locators. 73, Luis HB9CXZ _ Da: Jon Anhold [mailto:j...@anhold.com] Inviato: martedì, 3. novembre 2020 16:47 A: WSJT software devel

I have found a similar random seeming event but somewhat frequent. I use the Tune button with the power slider to create a variable level signal for my VHF+ power meter calibration and amplifier testing so I use it a lot at times. I find I turn tune on while in FT8 at random times for my test,

Another problem I spotted with the Tune button operation. I have the power slider turned way down for normal operation and the Tune button set near the top. Transmit and Tune per Band are checked on. Periodically the Tune level resets to the normal level which was low so I have to slide it ba
