[wsjt-devel] CQ Rx bug

2015-09-14 Thread Jay Hainline
I build WSJTX 1.6.1 r5892 from sourceforge this morning. Using a Yaesu
FT-2000 and DXLabs Commander for CAT. I have 50.280 set in the Working
Frequencies list for JTMSK mode. When I put a checkmark in the box to
activiate the CQ RX 285, the radio goes to 50.285 as it should. But when I
Enable Tx to CQ, the radio stays on 50.285 instead of switching back to
50.280 on transmit. It makes no difference if I have split operation set to
none or Rig in the settings and the Rx frequency offset with "CQ nnn..." is
check marked.

Did Commander and your rig go into split mode?

As a sanity check can you try the same test with Commander not running
and WSJT-X configured to talk directly to your rig please?

OK. You didn't confirm if Commander went to split mode, that would help
to isolate the issue.

Also, have you tried using Commander with "Fake It" split operation,
that doesn't use split mode but makes VFO changes "just in time" to do
the same thing.

Re: [wsjt-devel] CQ Rx bug

2015-09-14 Thread Jay Hainline
Yes Joe. It appears to be a problem between Dxlabs Commander and WSJT-X. I
sent a debugging file created by Commander to Bill. Hope that helps in
tracking down the issue. I know a few people on Ping Jockey this morning
were having a similar problem. But I don’t know if they also use Commander
or not.

Hi Jay,

I checked operation of the "CQ nnn ..." transmission on the FT-2000 at
W2PU this morning, and it seems to be OK. I was using "Rig" split mode,
and no Commander in the loop.

I see that you have now got this same result.
