After this past weekend's ARRL VHF contest, one of the top SOHP scorers,
Mike, W3IP, posted a note to the PVRC reflector along with the breakdown of
his score. In his comments he compared the FT8 sensitivity of WSJT-X vs
JTDX. Mike is a technically sharp guy and I trust what he has reported.

Presently on FT8, when we turn on our “Tx enable” button to call a station
ending a QSO with another station, when we receive his Tx4 “ RR73” message,
WSJT-X disables our “Enable Tx” button.
Even when calling with a different Tx tone frequency, as to not cause
on-freq QRM, as long as our Rx
Has anyone experienced exaggerated dB signal reports given by WSJT-X to
decoded FT8 signals of stations transmitting tone frequencies below 500 Hz?
I use a K3 with 2.8 KHz filter using WSJT-X Version 2.5.0 . I have also
seen this in earlier versions.
When stations using low audio tones are
I have run into a problem with WSJT-X 2.5.3 when transmitting a TX5 message
to any station with a "/" followed by /MM or /P and probably other
characters. I'm running the Win 64 bit version on a Windows 10 computer
with the latest updates.
After transmitting the TX5 message, the receive cycle

Since I started using WSJT-X version 2.5.2, I have seen this error message
pop up every few days.

Sometimes I must click the OK button multiple times to finally clear the
last of multiple “Status File Error” message boxes.
I checked the path and there is no WSJT-X folder in

After downloading and successfully installing the Win64 version of WSJT-X
2.5.3, I made a successful FT8 QSO. After it was complete I sent one "$DX

line for that $DX message transmission appeared fine in the "Rx Frequency"
While working CB0ZEW on 12M FT8, the Band Activity column displayed the
initial report message that I received as well as the RR73 message which
followed.

However, the initial message with calls and report *never appeared in the
RX frequency column*.
Only the RR73 line
Many times a day, using the most current and previous WSJT-X improved
versions, the background color for the entire Band Activity column changes
from the normal white to a color. The only way to go back to the desired
no-color background is to do a right click, erase. But that wipes out the

I have been using the "Highlight orange:" feature in the "Colors" tab
screen, and have added a number of /MM callsigns to the comma delimited
list of stations that I'm interested in re-working for new water grids.
I noticed that in the Band Activity column, when a station on that list

I have noticed the same thing at times while running as Hound in F/H where
the report from the Fox will appear in the Band Activity column but not in
the Rx Frequency column.I am presently running the "WSJT-X V2.7.1 devel
