Re: [wsjt-devel] Possible bug in V2 GA ?

2019-01-08 Thread Chris Getman
Well it happened again but this time I paid better attention.
So I figured I should tell you.

I did double click on a station calling CQ
My station called his call sign with my call and grid as normal.
He called CQ a second time and I responded again automatically.
The third time he responded to another station.
But my station kept transmitting right on top of that other station.
Enable TX was not lit.
It was exactly the same frequency.
It would continue until I re-enabled the enable TX button
And then pressed the Halt TX.

Sorry but this doesn’t follow any of the theories presented.
And I hope it is a bug because I really don’t like transmitting on top of
someone else’s Signal.
When they are the one being called.

So I hope this is something minor, and can be easily fixed.
Or tell me how to avoid it.

But keep up the great work, this software is awesome.

[wsjt-devel] Possible bug in V2 GA ?

2018-12-31 Thread Chris Getman
When responding to someone calling CQ.

But the calling station reply's to someone else,

The enable TX button goes out, and the transmit is supposed to stop

But once in a while, the transmitter keep transmitting each cycle,

Nothing shows up on the right hand screen .

The only way to stop the repeating transmit, you have to manually re-enable
the Enable TX button

and the hit the Halt TX button.

Hitting the Halt TX button alone does nothing.

Windows 10 - Dell 6400 - Signalink SL1+ - FT-847

Doesn't happen often and it isn't a big problem

Once you know what it is.

Just Wondering if anyone else encountered this issue.

[wsjt-devel] UDP to HRD Logbook

2018-10-25 Thread Chris Getman
I am trying to set up auto logging to Ham Radio Deluxe Logbook

I have set the ADIF broadcast in WSJT settings under N1MM Loggger +
Broadcasts

For 127.0.0.1 port 2333

And I have set the receive under HRD Logbook.

Everything works fine if Malwarebytes is turned off, but won't work when it
is on.

I have added all the exclusions that Malwarebytes suggested,

Except they said to be sure to exclude the .exe program that actually sends
the ADIF broadcast

I thought it was send be WSJTx.exe

Is this the correct exe for sending the ADIF file ?

Or is it some other program ?

Or are there any other suggestions ?

everything works fine. Give it a try it may solve your problem. -Chris

I had a very similar problem.

The time looked OK, but when I did a manual Time Sync everything started working

Michael had me switch time sync programs to Meinberg and I haven’t had an issue
since.

It’s worth a try and might fix your issue also.

Hmmm hamspots.net doesn't show any transmissions from you for the last 16 hours
so you may not be transmitting as you think.

You say your time is good but what does http://time.is tell you?

I had this happen a couple of versions back, but that was the only time. If
you aren’t operating but just in monitor mode continuously, does it do the same
thing? I monitor 24/7 except when storms are in the area and have not had a
problem, even since the 1.9.1 version was released. It’s pretty strange to
have the waterfall showing signals, but all of a sudden nothing is appearing in
the decoded windows, but I have see it so I know it does happen. You are not

Re: [wsjt-devel] WSJT 1.8.0 RC3

2017-10-17 Thread Chris Getman
Hi Joe.

Keep up the great work, FT8 is just incredible, I use it almost every
afternoon on 20m & 17m.

I have read the release notes and I guess it is just different.
Now it takes two hands to change both frequencies at once.
I'm just not sure why you want to move them separately.

I guess it is for running splits, but I very seldom see anyone actually
doing that.

The old way with one click I could move freq and call CQ.
And on 20m you have to move around all the time. It can be very crowded.
And with FT8 time is critical as everything is fast moving.
So if a spot opens up you have seconds to grab it.
So I guess I just liked the Lock Rx-Tx feature so everything moved at once.

It will just take a little time to get it in my head to use both hands.

Thanks again for many fun afternoons.

I don't understand this request. Have you read the Version 1.8.0 Release
Notes? *Help -> Release Notes* or
http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/k1jt/Release_Notes_1.8.0.txt

Also, see the list of *Special Mouse Commands* in the User Guide, near the
end of Section 10.1:
http://www.physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main-1.7.1-deve
l.html#MENUS

... or display the list using *Help -> Special Mouse Commands* or simply
*F5*.

[wsjt-devel] WSJT 1.8.0 RC3

2017-10-17 Thread Chris Getman
I just downloaded Version 1.8.0 RC3 and found it missing the Lock Rx-Tx
feature.

In using FT8 from the beginning, I have only twice found a station wanting
to work splits.

So I really miss this feature.

Any chance of putting it back?
