Your guess about uclibc sounds reasonable, but I'm not sure where to
recommend you start. Are all of the errors related to png.c?

Nevermind. Non-problem solved.
Man, do I feel stupid. I just discovered that the audio gain was turned
almost completely down on the radio. Apparently the TNC was responding
to the received signal, but it wasn't strong enough to decode - so
nothing sent to the computer.
