Hi guys,
I have a Kenwood TM-271A hooked upt to a Kantronics KAM that feeds Xastir on
Debian. Everything is honky-dory except that the setup is not digipeating
(transmitting).
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

cross my mind to check in what mode I was.
I added a Serial KISS TNC interface to Xastir but still nothing happens :( ...
I think maybe the KAM has seen better days ...
Have a nice day

O.k ... I seem to have a more or less working config file ... seems that I can
do all stuff (beaconing, iGating, messaging etc) ... it's only been up for 2
days on and off ... will post the config file once I can confirm that no one
will swear at me if they use it ... lol ...

But this does not seem to work ... even though I am piping GTKterm's PID into
the lock file Xastir still seems to have control over /dev/ttyS1 ...
There you go ...

Thanks guys for the input ... it turns out the DTR pin on the KPC-3 lost
continuity somehow (or maybe it could have been my excellent soldering skills
... who knows) ...
It is fine now

the app/script/user is
done one can simply just tell Xastir via another command line argument to
re-enable /dev/ttySn
If not possible in the current Xastir version maybe it could be implemented in
the VERY near future ... like tomorrow maybe ... ;) ...
Have a nice day

Hey guys,
Is there a way I can disable Xastir's lock on the serial port (lockfile)?

nothing good can come from simultaneous access.
