Hello,
Recently, I inserted my old ET6000 in MB with on-board i815 (got tired
of X server lockups).
I have no more lockups but instead I saw kind of problem somebody with
ET6000 encountered last month.
When having onboard card memory aperture at 64Mb, Tseng (as 4.2.1
routine sees it) is able

I guess this is some kind of design fault in i810 driver.
Generally it happens when load on X is high enough (or is it peak load
that's high enough?). Usually KDE is involved, but there was someone
running StarOffice. I've seen this on FreeBSD. Other people've seen this
on Linuxes. XFree86 can
I don't know what goes in Mandrake package XFree86-W32-3.3.6 (and which,
contrary to what I saw here, *does* work with at least ET6000 -- but
only when the rest of X is also of version 3.3.6). Could it mingle

IMHO, there is a world of difference between fine and quite fine.
But, if it's actually fine under Windows and if I understand right

When using FreeBSD's /dev/sysmouse, you'll want to also use the
XFree86-libs port (as binary or compiling in its framework). There's a
patch there addressing /dev/sysmouse protocol.

Try configuring with xf86cfg -textmode. Visit ALL seven menus. Don't
forget to save resulting config.

Hi list,
I am trying to compile a Kdrive Tiny X XServer from sources.
Here're what I used when trying to compile 4.2.1 with Kdrive on i810.
System was RedHat 6 with kernel about 2.4.19 or something. Compiler was
gcc-2.91.66
host.def:

Perhaps, there is no config file for X on your system? Look for
/etc/X11/XF86Config
If in doubt, you can reconfigure your X with xf86configure.

Slightly off the subject... I wonder, if anybody else running X on
