problems to turn on Hardware renderization of my video board 3dfx Voodoo 3.

I have a problem with mandrake 9.2. My
system:
Athlom XP 1800+
ECS k7vta3
MSI Geforce 4 ti 4200
LG 1710B DVI
During the installation I was prompted to chose my
gfx and my monitor (both were already selected). before accepting the settings
you can test them, well I did but it didnt
well, i'd start by installing the nvidia drivers for you gf4. and then
edit your config file. This is what mine looks like. I have a gf4 ti4200
and gf2 mx400 and running the 4496 drivers compiled for 2.4 and 2.6
kernels. Both work just fine.

GeForce4 with DVI wasn't supported until XFree86 4.3.
I don't know what version you have now. You want to be
using the nv driver, not the vga driver as you are
currently using. You may also need to add:
Option CrtcNumber 1
to the Section Device of the XF86Config file if the screen
isn't

i had a xf86sym compile error using the 4.1.0 sources that i patched with the 4.2.0 and 4.3.0 diff files. i also compiled and installed atk and pango before running make worldopts did i do it right? should i instead download the 4.3.0 sources?

i've used xvattr to adjust XV_COLORKEY.
I can then of course set XV_COLORKEY to 0 to make any
windows that use libxv to have all their black pixels
made transparent.
But, can I set XV_COLORKEY for an individual window?
If it can't be done now, could libxv be modified to do
it, or would it
