this script, and had a working xmail config that they were willing to
share. I feel this is is what is missing from this script, is clear
instructions of advice on how to implement it in a live environment.

I am currently running xmail on Redhat 9 with kernel 2.4.20-8. On
RedHat I had to insert the line export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4 into the
xmail startup file. I am currently working on moving my mail server to
a stronger box, running Suse 9 with kernel 2.6.5-7.97. Would I have to
take this

combinaisons a mail can bypass any filter (except when rejected or volontary
excluded with filters.tab files options, like !aex) ?

Here is what I have setup in the crontab to run nightly.
This, for me uses around 2 GB of extra space on my server, but I delete the
file after I upload it to another server.
I have restored from this before and everyone has their email there and no
one could tell that something happened to

We have had a problem when we tried to send an email to 15 or so users. One
of the users mail box was full, but the email to the list didn't go to
anyone on the list. Here is the error message:
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by
the server. The

How can it still be that these emails are getting listed as ESPAM? It's
almost like the smtp.ipprop.tab isn't working.
Any help is appreciated.

I've had an issue with a few pop accounts like you are describing. I'm
running XMail 1.18. One thing that I found with the problems i had were
that the network connections were set to 10 MB Full duplex. In certain
parts of our building we only have 10 MB switches, so I set the NIC down
to 10 MB
I'm wanting to write a filter that will filter out a certain address
form sending any email. Does anyone have an idea how to do this? I
have this so far but it seams that the file isn't execute until someone
sends a file out.

number of emails that are being processed by which IP address and it
also associates it with the name of the user. It writes it out to a

Yes you can whitelist a certain ip address but I don't think that you
can whitelist one single email address. It will have to go by the IP
address of the email server getting blocked. You will have to put this
in the smtp.ipprop.tab file ex.
206.211.112.214/32WhiteList=1
or you can also do
XMail has now been running stable since Feb 19th.
Just had to add export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4 to the startup script like
Davide said.

day. XMail stops responding so none can send or receive email messages.

Did the smtp.ipprop.tab just appear with XMail 1.17? If so, I upgraded
to 1.17 today but I don't have the file, smtp.ipprop.tab. Is this
normal? To use it would I have to go out and create that file, because
I'm using blackholes.five-ten-sg.com as one of the CustMapsList for
stopping spam. It's blocking a domain that I need to be able to receive
email from. Is there a whitelist capability in XMail to enable that
domain to come through, or will I have to take out the blackholes spam
filter.
How are you determining what XMail is using? Are you running Top?
Also, does the machine or XMail lock up?

is a pop3 reader. That's what I use, and it has a nice interface with
it too. This way you won't have to worry about a imap problem, if you
are wanting to go over webmail.
