BB products ( I use BBEdit and Yojimbo) seem so well designed that I
doubt it is a lack of skill or knowledge on their part that this
doesn't work.
Still, inquiring minds want to know.

method particular to each app iTunes, iCal, Addressbook) to my iPhone.

I subscribe to a number of mailing lists, none of which have issues
with my Dot-Mac account, yet every few days, the Yojimbo List
complains it cannot reach me and I need to reply to the message to
confirm my email address is valid. After doing this nearly a dozen
times, I have had enough.
