The network is neither distant nor noisy. Using the "old"
zd1211-driver-r77, iwconfig shows me Link Quality=96/100 and Signal
level=56/100. I can connect to the network and transmitting data is no
problem.
Is this a distant or noisy network?

Every time you see one of these messages, it means that the device tried
to transmit a frame (in this case an authentication
Thanks for testing. To help further, you need to compile softmac debug
messages into the kernel, and compile zd1211rw with:
make ZD1211_DEBUG=y
Then post new logs.
I hope the attached logs will help you.

I haven't compiled Softmac and ieee80211 into the kernel, they are separate

Hello,
I got a Longshine LCS-8131G3 stick with a zd1211b.
Unfortunately, this device does not work well with the
zd1211_2006-06-20 snapshot and kernel 2.6.17
First, here are the specs:
zd1211b chip 1582:6003 v4810 full 00-11-f6 AL2230_RF pa0 g--
FCC ID: RU5AWG02U
What works currently?
