[Zim-wiki] Zim 0.54 : ToC and bazaar

2014-02-10 Thread Etienne Fort

Hello,

Since I upgrade to 0.54 version, I have 2 problems (I work with ubuntu
12.04) :

1. I can't find the table of contents plugin :
   http://zim-wiki.org/manual/Plugins/Table_Of_Contents.html
2. The version control plugin send me an error message like this :
bzr commit -m Saved version from Zim send an error code : 3

I hope it is the right place for this message... And that someone can
help :-)

Cordially,
Etienne

Why did you upgrade to 0.54 and not 0.60?

Re: [Zim-wiki] Synchronizing journals

2014-02-10 Thread Jaap Karssenberg
Steve,

From our point of view a notebook with a journal is not special at all:
each page is stored as a text file in the notebook folder. So if you have
some application for file syncing, it should work just fine.

I do not know at all this Mozy Sync application, so no idea why it would
have an issue specific with these notebooks.

To debug maybe try creating some files like 2014/01/01.txt manually and
see if they can be synchronized.

Regards,

Jaap

named Notebook My Journal 2014-0129. All of the notebooks are in the
Stash\Notebooks folder. Mozy Sync uses the stash folder and I have the
stash folder on several Windows 7 computers.

I have been using the non-journal notebooks for a while and they are kept
synchronized among the computers via Mozy Sync. The journal notebook,
however, does not synchronize. Entries on one computer are not passed on to
the notebooks on the other computers. Is there a configuration setting or
something else I need to do to get the journal notebook to synchronize
among the computers via Mozy Sync?

 Thanks.

Re: [Zim-wiki] Reset which application opens links in zim

2014-02-10 Thread Jaap Karssenberg
Mzata,

Link that look like ./foo/bar.txt are _not_ internal links, they are file
links. So opening with a text editor is the correct behavior, it can not be
changed.

Links to other pages in zim should look like foo:bar (or indeed +bar
for child pages). If you make your links like that, they will work
correctly in zim.

Jaap

Hey there, couple of little problems here using zim on windows 7:

I've been fiddling about trying to get my notebook to open some local html
 files (file:///D:/foo/bar.html) in Chrome.

Managed to get that done by using the Open with option and passing the
full path to Chrome.exe.However now when I click on the link, the file is
opened correctly in Chrome, but I'm then jumped back to zim and a
notification window tells me the file could not be opened?

Also somehow in the process I messed up the internal links to other pages
in my notebook which now open in notepad (default text editor). (at least
the ones that start ../foo/bar.txt not the +bar ones

I tried to workaround this by passing the path to my zim.exe in 'open
 with' but this didn't work.

I was wondering how I could reset to defaults, or if there was a config
file somewhere where I could edit what application opens which type of link.

 Thanks!

[Zim-wiki] Access and edit zim notes when Zim isn't installed

2014-02-10 Thread inigo

Hey,
It looks like I'll have to reach my Zim wiki notes on PC-s, where Zim
isn't installed. Can you recommend me a (free) way to access and edit my
notes from there? What is the most convenient way for this? I know I
could upload the notes to dropbox or to another similar place and open
the text file with a text editor, but is there any better way? Maybe to
sync my text notes to an other online notetaking place?

Thank you!

I do exactly what you described - save my Zim notebooks in Dropbox and edit
the text files (in markdown) in a free text editor.

(I've seen a couple of sync issues on seafile due to windows and open

Hi Svenn,

I do not know if the shared notebook option is set. Would you be so
kind as to point me to where to find it?
