What he plans can be done easily using NGZ (non-global zones).
An NGZ also adds just a little bit of overhead (if any at all) to the
system - unlike vbox.
What would be the gain of using a more complex technology like
vbox/xen in comparison to NGZs?

This issue is resolved .. the problem was the lofi .. i had mounted the iso
image and the moment i removed the lofi from the global zone i was able to boot
the zone back. DO not know whats the reason for this but it did solve my problem
