It's going to be a temporary work around, but we're going to build Zope
2.4.4 final and Zope 2.5.1 final around it; I'll be building beta
releases this Friday with the patch included.

The segfault is AWAY! I have an uptime of 2 hours now, it has never been
so long since it's in use! I don't notice any performance differences,
but I also have to say that I can't measure it really. The more
important is that it doesn't crash anymore!

Is this a *final* solution for the crashing? Or is this just a temporary
solution to make sure where the problem is?

BTW : Thank Matt for the patch!

regards,

Martijn.

No, you don't need to explicitly call gc.disable() as the supplied
ZServerPublisher.py already does that. Also, there's currently no way to
tune the amount or the frequency of garbage collection that'll take
place. Garbage collection will run in full whenever other Zope worker
threads are not... well... working.

Cheers, Leo.

We probably should build a statue for this guy somedays

Just to make sure : I put gc.disable() in Z2.py and apply this
ZServerPublisher.py patch? Or do I have to add some more code to let the
garbage collector collect more often or less or...

You can't imagine how glad I would be if this thing is fixed. Thanks
again for all your efforts!
