Zope-web maillist -
Dear all.. I recently tweaked the spam filter for all wiki.zope.org wikis to
stop a spambot. But, I did it wrong and
managed to block some ordinary edits and comments. Sorry about that, it's fixed
now.

Oh. That seems a pity, with Zope 3.4 just out; a site facelift would
help. Would the designer care to comment ?

new.zope.org is looking good. Stimulated by the pending z3 release I was
thinking about using the styles to give the z3 wiki a facelift, to
create more coherency, similar to djangoproject.org where everything is
integrated under a consistent skin.
Then I realised it's a plone site, so you
There is an apache, but zope was listening on all ports. Michael
showed me how to restrict it to 127.0.0.1, thanks guys.

I did this:
- investigated a little - we are running three zope servers in a xen
instance with 512M ram, debian stable, apache 2.2.3-4. The wikis are
running zope 2.10.3
- a 14-day pack of wiki.zope.org (3G - 300M)
- installed a cron task to check wiki.zope.org zope size every minute
and
Done. There shouldn't be any unicode errors when browsing wiki.zope.org
now, if you find any please let me know. History can be seen in the
usual way, by clicking the last edited time or via the y or d access
keys. As a bonus, page rendering is now a little faster.
wiki.zope.org's zope server, at least, should have those startup scripts
already. Pretty sure I saw it start up after the last server outage.

PS to be clear - wiki.zope.org has been running much better on the Amaze
server than it did on mine. Perhaps we can get it added to the Amaze
monitoring/quick-response system ? That would be awesome.

Grok wiki is ready to use !
http://wiki.zope.org/grok
Keeping grok in the zope3 wiki is another option. Baijum has manage access
and I'll add it for anyone else necessary, so you can do what's needed.
Also wiki.zope.org is now back online, there was a network issue at the
server.

Zopistas - I'm pleased to announce that wiki.zope.org has moved to a more
powerful server. You should now or very soon see wiki.zope.org pointing to

I'm out of time. Currently it looks like it is serving requests.. just none

Did you try the .old file left by the pack?
I did; it showed the same error. I agree, I don't think pack caused any
trouble.
I can keep the problem Data.fs around for a little longer, if there's any
other diagnostics that would be interesting to try let me know.
Ok, thanks. Perhaps the problem arose from being too near this VPS's disk
quota.
I pack weekly, I'm going to try moving the wikis into a separate storage to
give me more control.

PS note the page hierarchy is still there, it can be seen above the page

This will happen mostly automatically as you create pages. When you want to

Hi Christian, all
Zwiki always tried to keep login effort to a minimum; until now, the
lightweight optional username cookie has been enough. (It's no longer
optional on wiki.zope.org of course.)
There has been talk of moving up to the next level, ie some kind of real
authentication and
Does that mean apache rewrite rules are out ? Any idea how if the goal
(redirect all old pages corresponding new pages) is achievable ?

Ok, I have simplified the redirect message.
I promised d2m I would post apache rewrite rules here and request
installation by whoever has that access. I haven't spent the time to figure
them out yet. I'd like to redirect each page in each old wiki to the
corresponding page in the new location

trap to avoid:

same wiki, but now you have a big, verbose

I agree with you (on both points), even though 1 requires more typing. We
want to have common authentication, cookies etc. across these wikis.
So let's consider zope3.zwiki.org deprecated, I'll make it redirect to
wiki.zope.org/zope3.

Is it a good idea to rename http://zopewiki.org to http://wiki.zope.org/zope2 ?

Also, down the road a little bit, but something we could be thinking
about: if we could redirect all these wiki pages to their new location
as Michael H. suggested, I think that would be good - better than me
adding status messages all over the place.
Yes - Kevin, I just prepended the standard docutils stylesheet to your
stylesheet.css. I like to keep it intact and add any overrides at the
bottom, so we can easily replace it with docutils' latest.
