NEWS
The week in Windows (Ed Parry)
Licensing 6.0 has been the biggest news this week in Windows, and for most SearchWin2000 poll takers, it's been bad news. What's a good analogy for Licensing 6.0? New Coke comes to mind. Or Roseanne's rendition of the national anthem where she turned it into the Star "Mangled" Banner. On the bright side, Microsoft did finally come through with the third service pack for Windows 2000.

NEWS
Microsoft releases Service Pack 3 for Windows 2000 (Computerworld)
It's finally here. After a limited release to premier users earlier this week, the long awaited third set of updates for the Windows 2000 operating system is now available to the average user. Service Pack 3 is loaded with security patches as well as enhanced middleware capabilities.

ASK THE EXPERT
How can I stop users from listening to the radio on the Internet?
Dear Expert,
I want to stop users from listening to the radio on the Internet, i.e., to stop streaming. How can I do that? I have already tried stopping it in the protocol filters by disabling the RTSP, but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance for the help.

THE MISSING LINK
Web surfers ogle La Lopez

She's not a girl, not yet a woman and no longer the gal Jeeves gets asked about the most. The servile search engine reports that Jennifer Lopez, soul diva Alicia Keys and Colombian songbird Shakira are the ladies who most frequently turn up in its search box. Britney Spears didn't do it again (finish number one) this time. Oops! As far as the fellas go, English soccer star David Beckham, who also gets his kicks as the husband of Posh Spice, keeps Jeeves the busiest, followed by singer Robbie Williams and Prince William.
