There is a set of certificates called "root certificates" that are
bundled with Windows 2000 at install time.  Windows needs these
certificates for the proper operation of many of its functions and
you should not remove or revoke them.

Manipulating .avi files in XP can be very difficult, but fear not --
there is a fix that makes it possible. The obnoxious bug that causes
Explorer to read the entire contents of broken .avi files before
allowing any access to them, is caused by the registry file
"shmedia.dll."
