LEAD STORY
Windows 2000 Server now .NET Server 2003  (SearchWin2000.com)
First, it was called "Whistler." Then "Windows 2002 Server." After that, "Windows .NET Server." And now, this product is called "Windows .NET Server 2003." Analysts think Microsoft's changing the name yet again means the product won't reach the majority of customers before early 2003.

TIP OF THE DAY
Use GPO to manage disk quotas
A full hard drive can cause several problems, including system freezing, lost, damaged or corrupted files due to inadequate save space and a significant reduction in the performance of the system as a whole. There are several products on the market that can be used to impose custom quota systems or set trigger alarms, but there is no need for third-party code -- Windows 2000 includes both a basic quota system and system alerts. In this tip, admin expert James Michael Stewart explains how to take advantage of these features.

THE MISSING LINK
Turtle to shell out surfing safety tips

Occasionally, the U.S. government will hire a cartoon character. Smokey "only you can prevent forest fires" Bear and Woodsy "give a hoot -- don't pollute" Owl are the last ones in recent memory. But with the World Wide Web's potential to pollute young eyes and minds, Uncle Sam decided it was time to put another critter on public service patrol. Dewie "look both ways before crossing the Information Superhighway" Turtle will teach youngsters how to safely surf the Net. The feds hope their responsible reptile will be bigger than Geico's gecko one day.
