SPAM AND TROLLING FOR E-MAILS | by Barry Sosinsky

Beware! Large bulk e-mailers have figured out how to search a site
for Internet addresses, in the same way that the search engines scan
sites for keywords to index. There are some important spam facts you
should tell your users about, in an effort to reduce the amount of
useless e-mail traffic attracted by trolling scripts.

SOLVE OFFLINE ADDRESS-BOOK WOES | by Serdar Yegulalp

Users who work offline will have a locally retained copy of their
address book to allow address lookups when they're not connected to
the Exchange server. Under certain circumstances, the server
components that generate the offline address book (known as OABGen)
may stop working. When this happens, users will find themselves
confronted with an error and should be prepared to reset certain
system folders.

HOW DO WE MOVE EXCHANGE 5.5 TO NEW HARDWARE? | Ask Scott Schnoll

Dear Scott:
We have a Windows NT 4.0 server that is also our primary domain
controller (PDC). On this, we have Exchange Server 5.5 with Service
Pack 4 installed. This machine is frequently going down due to
internal hardware controller failure, so we want to shift this
Exchange Server to another machine. Right now, we have no plans to
move to Windows 2000 or Exchange 2000. Can you please suggest some
possible ways of shifting this Exchange server to new hardware?

hard drive partitions), is to:

a. Have Windows automatically relocate the pagefile on each reboot
b. Have Windows automatically relocate and delete the old file
d. Run a pair of scripts -- one at shutdown and one at startup
