I've been using Firestarter on a RH 7.1 workstation
connected by dial-up PPP to the Internet:
http://firestarter.sourceforge.net/
It's a GUI program which hides the iptables rules from you
so you don't have to wrestle with them (unless you want to add
something which is not currently supported in Firestarter).
