Just for giggles & grins I tried setting up a network print spool for my laptop
when I'm using it in the office. We have an older HP LaserJet 4M+ with an
MIO-type JetDirect card and a static IP address xxx.xxx.7.221. I can print text
files very nicely, but whenver I try to print a Mozilla page, after a few blinks
the printer barfs with a "40 MIO Error".
My /etc/printconf file contains:
laser4m|office:\
:sh:\
:ml=0:\
:mx=0:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/laser4m:\
:lp=|/usr/share/printconf/jetdirectprint:\
:lpd_bounce=true:\
:if=/usr/share/printconf/mf_wrapper:
I have LPRng-3.4.7-23 installed. I've tried both Postscipt and ljet4 drivers.
I've also physically removed and reseated the JetDirect card, but no joy.
Everything works fine under "that other OS".
Can anybody see or suggest something I've missed?
