  mysql works very well now.

  One question remains: How is it this file /usr/lib/readline.so.4.1 has
been corrupted?
  And all the other md5sum errors in my machine, might be a sign that
someone has hacked my machine?  How is it possible, while all ports below
1024 are strictly denied? At the http://grc.com site, I get the best
protection score. I don't even have any server on this machine, apart from
httpd, which I use only when I'm not connected. The www 80 port is
denied on my machine whenever I am connected.

  Uh. The mystery of the computer science...
