I've had several sets of directions on installing this modem in RH Linux. Those
that involve recompiling all called for a file or two I don't have and don't know
where to get. When I took my new Linux box back to the store for replacement of
defective memory under warranty, one of the service men told me it's easy; just choose
expert installation and it will ask. Well, it didn't.
The modem is working fine on the same machine under Win2k (I only gave Win 4GB of
disc space), but I feel so exposed, especially since I can't find my copy of Network
Ice (probably on the disc that went bad, and my backup disc is acting up too).
I hope someone can give me an easy solution before I get raided by a hacker! I
have 7.1 set for no incoming calls, hoping that will protect me when I get to use it.
    Thanks.
