I see.  I'd be happy to hardcode it (if it would make this card work), but
I understand that's not a general solution.  Unfortunately I don't know how
(or if) the entries in the cards[] array translate to port counts.

So we come full circle; that's where I got your patch in the first place.
(But I found the page only after I had purchased the card.)  You might want
to note that the NetMos patch has a fair chance of not working.

It should be sufficient to just copy drivers/parport/parport_pc.c (or
everything in there), fix up include/linux/pci_ids.h and rebuild, shouldn't
