That way it gets associated with a particular package, gets sent to the proper developer(s) within Red Hat, and continues to bug those folks on the various reports they must run until something is done about it. An open question is whether a single umbrella bug "initscripts is poorly commented" is proper, or whether they would want individual bugs. The Mozilla folks use umbrella bugs to track classes of bugs, using the "depends on" links to tie the bugs together. There is a larger issue here, involving just how much community involvement Red Hat wants. It seems that it's just not the "cool" distribution to hack on any longer; folks who want to participate in the bazaar seem to have long since moved to Mandrake and Debian. I think some of this is due to a perceived notion that (at least at one point in time) Red Hat didn't want help from the community. Some statement to the contrary, with instructions on just how Red Hat wants folks to help, might go far to alleviate some of this. - J< _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
