You need to enable scsi emulation over the ide channel that
you cd is operating on. You can do this by enabling it in the
lilo.conf as follows:

append="hdc=ide-scsi"

Then you can use the cdrecord command with the scanbus option:

cdrecord -scanbus             <<<<<MY OUTPUT>????

scsibus0:
        0,0,0     0) 'RICOH   ' 'CD-R/RW MP7163A ' 'BR08' Removable
CD-ROM
        0,1,0     1) *
        0,2,0     2) *
        0,3,0     3) *
        0,4,0     4) *
        0,5,0     5) *
        0,6,0     6) *
        0,7,0     7) *

Once you have done this you can see which device to use in the command:

cdrecord dev=0,0,0 speed=16 -v cdimage.iso.

Dont forget to make an iso image.

Cheers Paul
