Update your machine? ;) There have been 2 updated redhat kernels released for the Enigma distribution. Currently it is at 2.4.9-21 Additionally, there are quite a few other updates available as well. > Quick and dirty answer... > Go to http://www.kernel.org and download the tarball for needed kernel. > Unpack it somewhere (I use /usr/src/linux-2.4.version... althought some > people suggest different location). > From this directory run: I'm confused. While building your own kernel is fine when the need arises, kernel 2.4.9 is available as an rpm from redhat. The current kernel is 2.4.9-21. Download the packages. rpm -ivh kernel-{version}.rpm. rpm -Fvh kernel-headers{version}.rpm. If using grub, rather than lilo, skip the next 2 steps. Edit /etc/lilo.conf to include the new kernel /sbin/lilo -v reboot, selecting the new kernel. - -D - -- pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/pgpkey.txt - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8YS9heMAUbzJhSVcRAlS9AJ9dZyi5UFMlbXh+86lTE7Wefx9s5ACfWaHm JulObgO5FdJH5XKDyynNoks= =/zWJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
