N looking in the lilo error list there are three errors that might be
covered by your error message depending on its exact contents. In all cases
what is being complained about is that the boot sector found in the MBR is
not a valid lilo boot sector. There is a slight possibility that your Bios
is not idnetifying what you think in the lilo partition as the Lilo
partition but I don't favor that solution. I would runt lilo -v -v
which causes it to tell you what it is doing and see if everything seems to
be created and stored properly. Post what it gives you and we will look at
it for errors if the errors are not obvious. It is the words pre-21 that I
can't find in the error list so it confuses me somewhat.
