Thanks for the metrics.
I worked with prngd a little and felt uncomfortable with the fact that
the author documents it as alpha ware. Is there a possible vulnerability
because of that ?? (have to ask ;)
Looking at your metrics is making me rethink.
I compiled ssh with it and started the daemon without prngd running and ld.so
crashed (solaris 8).
I kinda viewed this as safety hazard, killing the machine if some permissions
changed for instance. But you say only the openssh client uses it, I was
logging thru localhost so I dont suppose I could tell. I thought it was the
daemon.
Any comments greatly appricated.
