I really dont know whether that is the case or not. I was a total newcomer to cryptography, when I started with Applied Crypto. It was kinda OK to me. I mean I wont claim I understood 100% of what was written, but the way the concepts are explained is lovely. I have not gone thru the book you have mentioned, will do so some time soon. You never know, it might actually be written better than Applied Crypto. > This book looks like more of a beginners book: > > Basic Methods of Cryptography Thanks for the book name. Will check it out sometime. Regards Dhar PS: Most people assume, anyone interested in Crypto will have some math/engg background to support it. Hence maybe the book Applied Crypto gets suggested immediately. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8f0s3uQMMKXqy0FoRArkFAKDO+M0AmB231uzc/JyN+4dZ9z3ckwCfeVV0 2UgyAXO9T/XVKH1/vJGbpPo= =mImO -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
