I've beejn running debian on my dell inspiron laptop for quite some time
now with no problems. I will say that it did put up alot more fight when I
tried to put it on the laptop but it seemed to be the same problems over
and over again mainly with X. I had to configure that by hand after the
install. I you want send me on what kind of problems you were having and I
may have come across them before. No promises though it's pretty hard
trying to figure out whats wrong just from description of an install
problem without actually being able to look at the laptop.

cheers,
Rory

Evaluating SSL VPNs' Consider NEOTERIS, chosen as leader by top analysts!
The Gartner Group just put Neoteris in the top of its Magic Quadrant,
while InStat has confirmed Neoteris as the leader in marketshare.

Find out why, and see how you can get plug-n-play secure remote access in
about an hour, with no client, server changes, or ongoing maintenance.
