A FAQ is a great idea I would suggest some things im sure have already 
been mentioned.

1. Introduction to IDS (snort, log viewing etc..)
2. How-To for Windows services, what you DO and DO NOT need. With 
explinations on how to configure these services.
3. Apache/IIS configurations, or atleast a link to where you can read 
about secure webserver configurations.
4. Setting up basic firewall ACL's. How to block/open ports.
