1. My eth0 is being detected as coming off my firewire interface instead of the 8139too. I had to had edit the config to fix the problem. (The base system install had it right and the /etc/modules.conf is also configured correctly)

2. The policy: wan all DROP info was duplicated in the /etc/shorewall/policy file

3. The default set of rules should include LAN->FW tcp 8444 for the dans guardian log message.


In regards to my issue with sarg. It is an actual problem. It was core dumping a a call to rewind dir. A quick search of google seems to indicate that this is a general problem ( probably relating to changes in behaviour in glibc-2.3 ).


The gentoo folks have run into this and have patched sarg. I have applied the patch and rebuilt and sarg does operate correctly now. Which means that sarg is broken in 10.0
