The time will very depending on the specific types of audit trails.  My
understanding is that it will be handled no different than in FDA
environments where most of the records have to be kept for 2-3 years, though
some need to be kept for as long as drugs are in retail circulation.   In
our experience it, there will be general guidelines provided, but state and
"common cense" laws will apply beyond the minimal period.
