Hi,I've installed Sedna on RHEL 4.8 but it fails on creating a new database with the following error:
/volumes/oracle/sedna/sedna/bin/se_trn: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by /volumes/oracle/sedna/sedna/bin/se_trn)
librt.so.1 => /lib/tls/librt.so.1 (0x006d1000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x00670000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/libpthread.so.0 (0x006ab000) libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 (0x00913000) libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0x00676000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x00719000) libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x0053e000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x00524000) I've found in FAQ that we should have glibc 2.4 and glibcxx 3.4.9 or higher. But these versions are not available for RHEL 4.8. The latest are: rpm -q --whatprovides glibc glibc-2.3.4-2.43.el4_8.6 rpm -q --whatprovides libstdc++ libstdc++-3.4.6-11.el4_8.1 And they are already installed. So it's the version that matters here. Could you please advise how it can be solved? Best regards, Ivan Lagunov
