Hi again,

One more question regarding this issue.

I cannot find cmake utility for RHEL 4.8 too. Is there any alternative available for this OS version?

Best regards,
Ivan Lagunov

Hi Ivan,

Thanks so much for a quick response! I've come to almost the same conclusions although I didn't know about static binaries.

Hi Ivan,

This a well known problem with RHEL. It has too old (actually, VERY old) glibcxx version installed by default. There are two reasonable ways:

   1. Rebuild Sedna from sources (see here:
      http://modis.ispras.ru/sedna/install.html) right on the RHEL
      (/recommended/)
   2. Try static linux binaries available from the download page
      (http://modis.ispras.ru/sedna/download.html). AFAIK, they
should work fine on RHEL (/not recommended, //since there is no
guarantee on Linux that it will work properly if the system is
not the same with the one it was built on/)
